Jesse Helt Turns Himself In To Police
Jesse finally turned himself in to police in Dallas, Oregon on Aug. 28, three years after an outstanding warrant was issued for his arrest, according to the Associated Press. Jesse was booked on a probation violation warrant and posted his $2,500 bail, said Martin Silbernagel, director of Polk County Community Corrections, according to the AP.Miley’s VMAs date is expected to appear before a judge in about two weeks. Jesse pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal mischief and criminal trespass after breaking into an apartment of a man he thought was selling bad marijuana, according to court records, the AP said. Jesse was sentenced to 30 days in jail and probation. He violated his probation and an arrest warrant was issued in November 2011.
Jesse rose to fame when he accepted Miley’s Video of the Year award at the VMAs and made an emotional speech about homeless youth in America.

Even with Jesse’s past, Miley is still more than willing to help him with legal costs, said Trevor Neilson, according to Us Weekly. Trevor is the the president of G2 Investment and the person who put Miley in touch with the My Friend’s Place charity.“Jesse Helt turned himself in tonight to Polk County authorities to address his outstanding legal issues,” Trevor told the AP in an email. “Miley Cyrus will be assisting him with this process, and they both are committed to working to help the other 1.6 million youth who experience homelessness in America each year.”
