Ne-Yo Responds To ‘Atlanta Exes’ Backlash: ‘I’ve Made My Apologies’

For some women, reality TV can be a great platform to brand themselves outside of their famous boyfriends and husbands, but there’s always a price…and sometimes it’s their exes who have to pay.
Ne-Yo is learning this the hard way.
Last night, he was spotted at Ludacris’ LudaDay Celebrity Bowling event in Atlanta with his ex-fiancée Monyetta Shaw, who also stars on the new season of VH1′s Atlanta Exes.  Although the former couple looked very chummy, Ne-Yo has been catching a lot of heat from the show’s fans, particularly after the last episode aired.  During the show, it was revealed that Ne-Yo broke up with Monyetta by phone.  She also cried while revealing she wouldn’t be able to have kids if she met a new man because they had agreed that she would get her tubes tied after she had the couple’s two kids.
The backlash has been so real that Ne-Yo took to his Instagram to repost this picture quote about nobody being perfect.
Nobody is perfect, and nobody deserves to be perfect. Nobody has it easy, everybody has
issues. You never know what people are going through. So pause before you start judging, criticizing, or mocking others. Everybody is fighting their own unique war.
He also captioned the image with this cryptic plea about forgiveness and immaturity along with some shady hashtags.
I’ve made my apologies to the people I feel I wronged. I was forgiven by those people. Anybody else passing judgment on me for my past mistakes and immaturities is more than welcome to it. Your opinion is your own to do with as you please. The ONLY judgment I’m truly concerned with is the ONLY one that matters. Mistakes will be made, that’s human. So again to all the perfect beings out there who feel so worthy to judge my imperfection…..ENJOY THE SHOW. #NowTHATSNonfiction #AtlExes #Vh1 #WatchIt #IfCrucifyingMeMakesYouFeelBetterAboutYouHaveAtIt #ShoutOutToAllTheImperfectPeopleOutThereJustTryingToFigureThisThingCalledLifeOutJustLikeMe
It’s true, no relationship is perfect, but they are definitely making things even more complicated by still living together after the breakup. Especially, since Ne-Yo has a new girlfriend.
Hopefully, some of this stuff is exaggerated for TV. It’ll be interesting to see how this all pans out.
